BE FESTIVAL (Birmingham European Festival) brings together daring, delightful theatre from across the continent. This triple bill of festival favourites – each half an hour long – is a unique opportunity to see work that has never toured the UK before, so BE part of it!

Al Cubo by Betti Combo (France) – 30 mins
Three buffoons help and defy one another in equal measure, striving for the tallest construction and the perfect balance. A heady mix of masterful circus and mischievous theatre, with buckets of charm.
Tao Te by Ferenc Feher (Hungary) – 20 mins

A unique and intensely physical piece, fusing freestyle dance with martial arts. Seeking a harmonious and virtuous life, two men are dragged through a series of conflicts and struggles.

Next Door by Out of Balanz (Denmark) – 35 mins
Winner: 1st Prize and Audience Prize, BE FESTIVAL 2013
When Ivan Hansen’s neighbour passes away suddenly, Ivan realises he doesn’t know anything about him. Intimate storytelling and high-octane physical theatre explore what it is that really connects us.
The evening concludes with an on-stage Q+A with the performers and a Chair (from festival team) – 25 mins.
