Ever dreamt of running away with the circus?

With moments of high pathos, circus spectacle and powerful narrative Rogue Theatre tells the stories of three lost souls who sign up to run away with Madame Lucinda, mother, father, devil, angel, alter ego and ring master.

The show mixes the bright lights of the circus with moments of intimacy, to tell the stories of each of the characters and how they ended up at their crossroads where Madame Lucinda found them.  As the play unfolds, the audience shares the secret moments between characters backstage, alone in the dressing rooms, gaining insight into their dreams, fears and heartache:

Sirus, formerly Mr Johnson, the frustrated office clerk who lived in his imagination but failed to see the subtle beauty of the world around him

LoLo, circus orphan, whose father was killed in a tragically comic circus accident involving a flying pig

Svetlana, the dancing doll, destined to live a half-life with a broken heart trapped inside her wooden exterior.

This show is for anyone who ever had a dream.  Lose yourself in the thrilling world of spectacle and the macabre and wake up with fresh eyes.

With live music by the original musical director Ben Sutcliffe, mesmerising vocals, poetry and text by Annamaria Murphy (Kneehigh Theatre’s Trystan and Yseult and Red Shoes), Radio 4, National Theatre), illusion, magic, side splitting comedy, ballet, whip cracking, explosive physical performance and powerful narrative.

Journey through the doors of the imagination into a world of mystery, spectacle and horror!

Marvell at the exquisite heartache, the torturous hilarity and breathtaking magic.
