The Midnight Soup is about suicide.

It is about losing someone you love, to themselves.

It is about remembering, and it is about moving forward.

It is about not knowing, it is about asking and it is about respect.

The Midnight Soup could be made by anyone and it is always for sharing.

It is for keeping warm, and it is for getting together.

The Midnight Soup will be presented at a dinner table, for an audience of up to twelve guests. Over the course of an intimate performance meal, using his grandmother’s diary as source material, Leo will explore the complexities of suicide in older people and hope that this very personal, auto/biographical base can be a useful conversation starter.

The Midnight Soup is an experiment in sharing, in storytelling and in making a space for thinking about something complex, together.

It is about starting with the very personal, and slowly inviting a broader conversation. At its core, The Midnight Soup is about making visible something we would often prefer to hide.

There is a very limited capacity so to reserve a ticket please email boxoffice@slunglow.org with the number of tickets you wish to reserve and a contact telephone number.

Tickets will be “Pay What You Decide” which means you will pay the company AFTER the show.

'I have put Holbeck in my address for the last two years but today was the first time I discovered the heart of it - I had no idea about the pubs, social clubs, quaint back to back terraces and history that makes up the real Holbeck, south of the canal.  A big thanks to Slung Low for opening my eyes to a place I have claimed to call home.'  - Audience Member
